If you’ve always wanted to sew curved seams and been afraid to you just have to check out the Curve Master Presser Foot. Invented by a quilter, just for quilters this foot is simply amazing. I’ve watched the demo and after seeing it in use I honestly believe that I can take on some of the quilt designs with those lovely circles and curves. Read a few other reviews of the foot here….

My photos just don’t do these quilts justice. The wolf is stunning, the bison is majestic and the new french bistro patterns are fun and sassy. Graciously willing to let their booth be photographed, the Big Fork Bay Cotton Company had a truly inspiring booth.

Brenda Henning is a pro at Quilt Market and a very accomplished author, designing and publishing her own patterns and books under her business name of Bear Paw Productions. She calls Alaska home and teaches at Quilt Tree in Anchorage. In the middle is Trish Stuart, also a very talented lady who is a former Alaskan. Trish is a pattern designer, quilt book author and publisher and traveling teacher. Trish is giving a big hug to Sarah Raffuse, another Alaskan quilt book author who co-wrote Crazy Shortcut Quilts. Those Alaskan gals are awesome!

From Portland, Spring Quilt Market: Bananafana Designs stopped us in our tracks! Really cute clothes and a super booth and an outgoing and very personable young man handing out brochures and inviting us into the booth to look around. Every time I went by the booth it was crowded with buyers.
He told us that he was left in charge while his wife, the designer, took a short break. What a nice guy. He was a lot of fun to chat with and very willing to let me take his photo and a booth photo.

Kay Mackenzie of Quilt Puppy Publications and Designs writes: “If you’re a member of a group that makes and donates quilts for kids in need, contact me (contact info is here) and tell me about your group. I’ll send you 6 copies of In A Twinkle (as many as I can stuff in a bubble mailer) by the “slow boat to China,” Media Mail.”
How nice is that?

Grace Howes of Red Barn Studios announces her newest pattern Simply Spring. She tells us
“The table topper is 51 ½” square and I made it so the triangles gracefully hang off the sides of the table.”
I enjoy reading Grace’s blog, she’s a caring artist and her work shows that side of her. Take a look at Simply Spring in two colorways on her blog.
