Designer Susan Brubaker Knapp has just published three new patterns for Blue Moon River. All are available to quilt shop owners through Moda/United Notions, or directly from Susan at her website, www.bluemoonriver.com.
Banana Layer Cake is 51″ square, and uses one Moda Layer Cake
TM (forty 10″ squares) and 1-1/2 yards of yellow. It’s also great for scraps. Cook up your own Banana Layer Cake in a jiffy! BMR126, $8 retail.
Round Red Barn” features the beautiful Round Barn at the

Shelburne Museum in Vermont. A full-sized template with stitching guidelines is included. Instructions show you how to cut the fabric pieces and fuse them in place, then draw in the details with thread to create a lovely 14″ x 19″ art quilt. BMR127, $10 retail.
Three Cheers - Stars pop like fireworks
in the center of this large 105″ square patriotic quilt.
Use all your red, white and blue scraps, or choose a fabric line in those colors. I used Minick & Simpson’s Patriotic Paisley line by Moda. BMR125, $10 retail.

I love Kay’s web and blog and received this note from her:
I’m excited to introduce a new product that I just added to the website… Needle Minders! You can wear these magnetic needle keepers or set them down beside you. You’ll always know where your needle is. They look like beautiful cameo brooches. The Needle Minders are available in a range of colors and styles, and make fantastic gifts. They’re on the Quilt Puppy Publications and Designs.
These Needle Minders are just gorgeous, elegant and so useful! Thanks, Kay, for sharing!

New from Cottage Quilt Designs, the Calla Lily Day Dream BOM From Designer Rochelle Martin:
Calla Lily Day Dreams
size: 96″
Cost: $5 per block or $45 per complete set
Yardage is in the first block and finishing details are in the ninth block.
I designed this quilt as our gift for my son and new daughter-in-law’s wedding of January of this year. Cala, my daughter-in-law, loves calla lilies and had them in her wedding. She and our son loves this quilt. I’ve had three quilters tell me that they are making it for their son’s wedding! The appliqué can be done in fusible web or hand appliqué methods.
