Lazy Girl Joan Hawley introduces us to Claire.
The angled inset at the center of the bag is just cool, cool, cool. And easy, too. It offers the opportunity for an extra deep outside pocket, perfect for keys, phone or other small items. And goodness, there’s a pocket on the other side, too. Nice!

A beautiful new style of Needle Minder is now available, Pink Lady. You can wear these magnetic needle keepers or set them down beside you. You’ll always know where your needle is. They look like lovely cameo brooches. The Needle Minders are available in a range of colors and styles, and make fantastic stocking stuffers. They’re on the Quilt Puppy Publications website. The manufacturer donates a portion of each Pink Lady sale to breast cancer awareness and education.

The booth was always swarming every time I walked past May Arts – - their ribbons, trims, rick racks (one and a half inch wide rick rack! In the most delicious colors!) in polka dots, ginghams, metallics and pin stripes and oh, so much more.
Quilters, don’t we all just *love* a behind the scenes peek and now C & T Publishing is giving us a peek into their world. Welcome to blogging C & T!
I love Kay’s web and blog and received this note from her:
I’m excited to introduce a new product that I just added to the website… Needle Minders! You can wear these magnetic needle keepers or set them down beside you. You’ll always know where your needle is. They look like beautiful cameo brooches. The Needle Minders are available in a range of colors and styles, and make fantastic gifts. They’re on the Quilt Puppy Publications and Designs.
These Needle Minders are just gorgeous, elegant and so useful! Thanks, Kay, for sharing!

I’ve always been partial to Jodi Barrows’ Square In a Square techniques. She puts on a good show at Quilt Market and now she puts on a good show right on her website. It looks like she’s figured out “patchwork perfection” and made it easy with her new Crosscut Rulers. Check out her video demonstration of the rulers, her new line of fabric, and her new book “Moving On With Diamonds”.
Penny Haren is someone I trust, so when she posts that this rotary blade sharpener really works, I believe her. I can’t wait to get one myself. Here’s her story, about this sharpener from USA Sharpener, she tells it best….

We had a marvelous time at Spring Quilt Market in Portland learning about the newest in battings. Tracy, from Fairfield , told us about the Bamboo Batting, Corn and so much more. The little pink sampler quilt was the softest thing I’ve touched in quite a while. Based in Fairfield, Connecticut, they are making a significant effort to bring responsibility to quilting.
From their website “….This is a watershed moment in crafting. As an environmentally conscious company and industry leader, it is our responsibility to develop high quality products that minimize the impact on the environment. From renewable resources through to green manufacturing processes and superior products, the greening of the craft industry has begun.”
